Miami Dade County -Senior Link Program

We are able to serve 74 low-income elders yearly.

REQUIREMENTS
– Be 60 years of age at least
– Be a Miami Dade County resident.

Referrals are accepted from social service agencies, HUD building managers word of mouth, and neighbors of existing clients.

AVAILABLE SERVICES

– Case Management for three months
– Follow up services for three extra months
– Applications for subsidized housing
– Special transportation
– Home health care
– Citizenship applications and process,
– Medical insurance, doctors’ appointments,
and long-term care
– Electricity (LIHEAP)
– Telephone subsidies
– Advocacy

Our goal is to obtain the necessary services for the seniors to allow them continue living independently without the need of institutionalizing.
