What do we work towards?

• More people everywhere getting actively involved in their neighbourhoods.

• Local community able to influence decisionsabout their own neighbourhoods and public services.

Why?

• Experience confirms that by far the best way to get services delivered effectively is for local neighborhoods to take an active role in solving problems.

• The misfortune is that most people don’t understand how they can do this, or lack confidence in their own abilities.

• But once started, neighborhoods nearly always come up with the best solutions for their community.

How can commuinity achieve this?

• By encouraging local agencies, organizations and service providers to  furnish neighborhoods with more effect over what is delivered, and how;

• And by ensuring that neighborhoods have the opportunities, support and tools to drive community priority precedence.

 What does it mean for community?

• People will be able to say:

“We have a real say in the way local services are provided”
